SeeknBuy is pleased to announce the following:
Exetel Announces Updates to ADSL1 and ADSL2 Plans PLUS 100 Free VoIP Calls Every Month
Exetel has announced that all ADSL1, ADSL2 and 3G Wireless HSPA plans will include 100 Free Local and National calls, untimed, every month, using Exetel's VoIP service. You can save significant costs on your phone bill every month by switching to VoIP - not only will every call to an Australian landline become a 10 cent untimed call (yes, even STD calls!), but you can also save on calls to mobiles (22 cents per minute, no flagfall) and international calls (from 2 cents per minute, no flagfall). By using VoIP, you can even save on your line rental by taking advantage of Telstra's Homeline Budget $20.95 line rental (see note below).
If you would like to add VoIP to your service, please contact us to discuss your best option. Remember - VoIP uses your existing home telephone, and no change to your phone number is necessary (other than for Naked ADSL2).
Exetel has also announced that its off peak data limits have increased yet again, to 60Gb, for all data downloaded between midnight and noon Sydney time. 60Gb for 12 hours per day offpeak data is one of Australia's most generous offpeak offerings, cementing Exetel as Australia's lowest cost, highest value ISP. Peak data allowances for some plans have also increased.
Note: Homeline Budget is subject to the following condition:
HomeLine® Budget customers agree not to acquire services from other
carriage service providers by dialing their access override code and
must not acquire a broadband service from another service provider
which is provided using line sharing technology. The usage of VoIP does not require dialing an access override code. Exetel's ADSL1 service is provided by Telstra Wholesale, and therefore is not provided using line sharing technology. Therefore, the use of Exetel's ADSL1 and/or Exetel's VoIP service does not contravene the terms & conditions of Telstra's Homeline Budget plan. If Telstra give you any difficulties in switching to Homeline Budget using Exetel's ADSL1 or VoIP, you should raise a cpomplaint with Telstra. If that does not solve your problem, you should lodge a formal complaint with the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO).
Exetel's INC plans include line rental for just $15.00. Exetel's PTL plans require you to choose your own line rental provider. All ADSL 2 plans are provided by line sharing technology, therefore Homeline Budget is not available.
